Certification of Quality Systems and Accreditation

Established a clear and universal, the requirements to be met by a System of Quality Management, opens the possibility that a third party, namely an independent provider (1 st part) and buyer (2 nd part) with sufficient expertise and competence, through regular audits verify whether the system of quality management of an organization complies or not with the provisions of the UNIT-ISO 9001 standard.

Then the body, gives a written certificate stating that the system of quality management in an organization has been tested and meets or is "compliant" as specified in the UNIT-ISO 9001 standard.

The value of such licenses shall be given, inter alia, by:

  • the credibility of the agency that issues it has
  • recognition nationally and internationally that it deserves.

Both the credibility and recognition, will ultimately be the result of how strictly the Certification Body has met the standards, ISO has also established for this purpose. Recognition will also depend on membership, linkages and prestige that the certification body have with international organizations and regional and other national agencies that certify or perform related tasks.

ISO 19011 (UNIT-ISO 19011) provide guidelines for conducting audits, the qualification required of auditors and management of audit programs.

In turn, ISO / IEC 17021 (UNIT-ISO/IEC 17021) sets out requirements for bodies that certify management systems and is used for evaluation by the accreditation bodies.
